Vehicles will depart from Kempsey on Wednesday morning, with multiple trips to and from site planned. On Thursday, heavy vehicle movements will also occur between George’s Junction and Armidale.
The movement of oversize loads may result in us having to temporarily close the road in some sections. Vehicles will have lights on, signs will be in place, and contact with vehicles can be made using channel 17 UHF. We will also have spotters at the front and rear of heavy vehicles.
This work is part of the final demobilisation of the geotechnical drilling equipment from the proposed site of the lower reservoir. We thank residents for their patience and cooperation as we move vehicles through this area. Please drive safely.
